Louis Dean Anderson's Obituary
Decatur-Louis Dean Anderson, 81, of Monroe City, MO formerly of Decatur, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born May 24, 1932 in Decatur, the son of Foster P. and Alice E. (Wilson) Anderson. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was previously employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad retiring with over forty years of service. He was a member of Elwin United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking and camping. He married Wanda Miller February 3, 1951.
He leaves behind his wife Wanda, son Larry (Rene) Anderson, daughters Jan (Bill) Lewis, Luann (Rick) Horton, Kelly (Doug) McCausland, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Graveside services to celebrate Louis’ life will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 in Fairlawn Cemetery.
