Louise Palmer's Obituary
Missionary Louise Palmer, 75, of Decatur died 12:45 p.m. on Good Friday April 6, 2007 in Aspen Ridge Care Centre. God walked out into his garden and picked one of his beautiful roses, Missionary Louise Palmer. God said to his faithful servant, "Louise Palmer you are tired, come and take your rest."
Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Church of The Living God, CWFF, 46. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Missionary Louise Palmer was born April 28, 1931, in Brownsville, Tenn., the daughter of the late John F. Moore and Beth Taylor. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Frank Hudson Palmer, Sr. in 1945 in Brownsville, Tenn., to this union eight children were born. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age in 1965 at Lower Salem Baptist Church in Brownsville, Tenn. Louise later moved to Decatur in that same year where she united with the Church of The Living God, CWFF, Temple 46, under the leadership of the late Bishop E.A. Morgan. She was later on the "Mothers Board" at the House of Faith, under the late Elder Warren before she continued her duties as a Missionary with Temple 46. Louise had also worked at Borg-Warner and DMH Private Care. She was a saved and anointed servant of the Lord. She spent countless days fasting and praying. She was always willing to pray or talk about God's word to anyone willing to listen. She was known for saying, 'Name it, Claim it, it's yours" and "If you fall down, get back up, and dust yourself off and try again." She will surely be missed by family and friends.
She leaves to cherish fond memories to her sons, Charles L. Palmer, Sr. Bobbi Farmer and Steven Kimberly Palmer, Sr., all of Decatur; Ponce D. Becky Palmer, Sr. of Champaign; Jeffrey Tara Palmer, Sr. of Ellenwood, Ga.; daughters, Bernice Bond, Darlean Brown and Cheryl Carson, all of Decatur; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband, Frank Hudson Palmer, Sr.; son, Frank Hudson Palmer, Jr.; brother, Willie T. Moore; granddaughter, Tamia Hagger.
