When I was a little girl I lived across the street from Lu and "Stub".My father, Leon Vemmer, worked at Borg Warner with her.She treated my sister and I like her own children. I have often thought of her through the years.She left a lasting impression on a very small little girl's mind. The world will be a sadder place without her. Decatur, IL US
Aunt Lou was a very warm and loving person. She was also a very funny lady!! Sometimes the things that would come out of her mouth would really shock you for her age. She was great though! Always telling stories from her past like it was yesterday, and always on the move! I hope I am that way at 84. I know I already have a lot of her traits. We both like to go places ALL THE TIME, and we hate sitting at home!!!! It just won't be the same, not running her places on Wednesdays. But there will always be a special place in my heart, just for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU, Decatur, IL US
Candy and I would like to convey our condolences for the passing of Lu. We worked together in shipping at MST in the 70's. Candy also had the pleasure of working with Lu for a couple of years too. It was about 25 years ago that she bought us our baby bed for our first son. She was one of the nicest people we've ever met and will surely be missed. Our deepest sympathy to your families.
