Lucille Spaugh, 87, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, July 02, 2015, in Symphony of Decatur.
Lucille was born June 25, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Paul T. and Bertha A. (Williams) Wiseman. Lucille was a member of Forsyth Baptist Church in Forsyth, IL. She loved reading, playing bingo, and going out to eat. She was known to be a very good cook. Lucille married Dwight Spaugh on May 18, 1947 in Corpus Christi, TX. They shared 69 wonderful years together.
Lucille leaves behind her husband, Dwight; son, Steven (Lorretta) Spaugh of Villa Park, IL; daughters, Karen (John) Lesner of New Lenox, IL, Peggy Spaugh of Bloomington, IL, Dona Nanney of Bloomington, IL, Lorie (Rex) Bishop-Calfas of Waynesville, IL, Michelle (Mike) Mulcahey of Athens, TN; 1 brother; 1 sister; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Spaugh; daughter, Jacqueline Spaugh; six brothers; and three sisters.
Services to celebrate Lucille’s life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graham Chapel Cemetery in Allenville, IL. Memorials in memory of Lucille may be made to Decatur Memorial Hospital’s ICU Department, Symphony of Decatur, or to Forsyth Baptist Church.
