Lucille A. Vollmer's Obituary
Lucille A. Vollmer, 100, of Decatur, passed away April 25, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Lucille was born June 12, 1917 in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Becker) Swiney. She married Jewel Vollmer on January 25, 1944 in Assumption, IL. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1999.
Lucille was a talented seamstress and had worked for the Assumption Garment Factory and would also do alterations in her home for others. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Lucille was a very artistic sort and enjoyed painting, crocheting, baking and planting flowers in her beautiful garden.
She is survived by her son, Carl Vollmer of Decatur, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 30, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Memorials: Holy Family Catholic Church or St. Mary’s Hospital.
