Madonna (Miller) Fort, 86, of Watseka, IL formerly of Decatur passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in her home.
Madonna was born on March 5, 1927 in Churubusco, NY the daughter Joseph and Laura (Trombley) Miller. She was a retired housekeeper from Decatur Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed Music and playing the violin and spending time with her family. Her family was the center of her life. She married Bernard Fort on March 28, 1969 in Rockville, IN. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1995.
Surviving are her daughters, Bonnie Coventry of Decatur, IL; Donna Barker (Glen) of Decatur, IL; Patty Barton (Ray) of Lovington, IL; Cindy Dowdell (Randy) of Watseka, IL; brother Leon Miller (Barbara) of Churubusco, NY; sisters, Evelyn LaGree of Churubusco, NY; Janet White of Rochester, NY; sisters-in-law, Veronica Miller and Irene Miller both of New York; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Sonny Trudeau and Rolland Trudeau; daughters, Joyce Middleton and Sylvia Lappin-Hargrove; two brothers, Gerald Miller and Harold Miller; sisters, Janita and infant; three grandsons, and two great-grandsons
Service to celebrate Madonna’s life will be 11 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
