Margaret Ahlrich's Obituary
Margaret Lucile Ahlrich, 93, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Symphony of Decatur.
She was born September 21, 1921 in Decatur to John J. and Emma (Radke) Sadowski. She married Jacob ”Jay” William Ahlrich on June 20, 1948 in Decatur. He passed away January 11, 2015. Margaret was a reader/typist for the visually impaired in the Decatur School District. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1927, the Alter Guild, Dorcus Society and Trinity Lutheran Church Companionship Guild. Margaret enjoyed traveling, volunteer work for her church and volunteering for RSVP.
She is survived by her nephews, Terry (Martha) Sadowski, Jerry Sadowski and John Sadowski; several great nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jay; one brother, Wayne Grant Sadowski, niece-in-law, Diane Sadowski and great niece, Heather Nicole Sadowski.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Margaret Ahlrich will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Lutheran Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
