Margaret A. Evans' Obituary
Margaret A. Evans, 74, of Decatur, died on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Thurs. Oct. 6, 2005 in St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Jeff Grant celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wed. Oct. 5, 2005 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where a vigil prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Mrs. Evans was born on Nov. 26, 1930 in Halifax, Nova Scotia the daughter of Albert and Viola Calaghan Purcell. She was a home maker and a member of St. James Catholic Church. Margaret married Richard D. Evans on Oct. 15, 1952 in Effingham.
Surviving is her husband, Richard of Decatur, sons: Michael wife, Mary Ann Evans and Daniel wife, Jeri Evans all of Decatur; brother, Bert Purcell of Sudbury, Ontario Canada; grandchildren: Derek, Jason, Beau, Lindsey, Ben and Harry; great-grandchildren: Brock, Cole, Madison, Mason and Dylon; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; daughters: Margaret Ellen and Theresa Anne; sisters: Rose and Ruby.
