Margaret Anne Hoff's Obituary
Margaret Anne Hoff, 82, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:15 A.M. on Thursday (01-02-2025) in her home.
Margaret was born on July 20, 1942, in Dingwall, Scotland, the daughter of John Francis Manning and Elisabeth Margaret (Mac Donald) Manning. She married Norman Keith Hoff on February 23, 1963, in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Margaret attended St. Patrick Church, Decatur, IL. She was a great nanny for her family. She also loved to play Bingo and go shopping.
She is survived by her children: Brian Keith Hoff; Michael John Hoff and wife Brenda; Pamela Sue Hoff; and Julie Anne Clark and husband Sean, all of Decatur, IL; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; three brothers: James Manning and wife Ann of Toronto, Ontario; Leonard Manning of St. John’s, Newfoundland; David Manning and wife Vicky of St. John’s, Newfoundland; and one sister Irene Pierce of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Jack Manning.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday (01-07-2025) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
