Margie Rose Henderson's Obituary
Margie Rose Henderson, 84, of Decatur, went to Heaven to be with the Lord and her sweetheart husband, on December 4, 2008.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 pm Monday, December 8, 2008 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Jeff Grant as Celebrant. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 pm in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Margie was born July 20, 1924, in Dietrich, IL, the daughter of Edward and Stella Foster Meyers. She married the love of her life, her sweetheart, Emmitt R. Henderson on February 14, 1943, in Elkton, Maryland. They were happily married for 63 years. He preceded her in death. She loved her Catholic faith. She worked for Kroger as a clerk for 25 years before retiring. She always had a smile on her face, and was a friend to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughters, Janet Archer John, of Glen Ellyn; and Suzzanne Shaw Harry, of Oreana; grandchildren, Jeff Harris Rachel; Patricia Baietto Fred; Chris Seagrave Guy; Julia Milligram; Ginger Limbert Jason; great grandchildren, Amanda; Patrice; Megan; Morgan; Paige; Terros; Josh; Cody; Seth; Tyler; Kayla; and Jackson; sisters, Hildred O’Brien of Decatur; and Farrel Mentzer, of Deerfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband; and one sister, Marilyn.
