Marian V. Skelley's Obituary
Marian V. Skelley, 100, of Decatur passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Lincoln Rehabilitation Center.
Marian was born May 30, 1913 the first of seven children born to Royal G. Skelley and Augusta C. (Downing) Skelley. She was life-long member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Marian had worked for A.E. Staley Company, Decatur Signal Depot and Personnel Department at Chanute AFB in Rantoul. She retired from Chanute in 1975.
Surviving are her brother, Paul (Toni) Skelley of Decatur; sister, Norma E. Nester of Conroe, TX; sister-in-law, Leona (William Donald) of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Royal E. Skelley, William Donald Skelley, Edward E. Skelley, and sister, Yvonne, L. Bennett.
The family would like to thank the past and current staff members at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center and Passages Hospice for all their care of Marian.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. John Burnette as Celebrant. Visitation will be one hour before service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ss. James & Patrick Parish.
