Marilyn Sue Fleming's Obituary
Marilyn Sue Fleming, 78, of Decatur passed away on Friday December 30, 2016 in Glenwood Assisted Living Center in Mt. Zion.
Marilyn was born on December 1, 1938 in Decatur the daughter of Cletus William and Lucille Bernice (Urich) Stephens. She was member of the Illinois Women’s Bowling Association and loved to play Bingo. She worked as a beautician for many years and also worked as a bartender at Pershing Bowl for 18 years and Flashbacks for eight years before retiring.
Surviving are her son, Scott Nicholls (Janice) of Decatur; daughter, Candi Beals (Rick) of Decatur; grandchildren: Tyler Gillen (Laci Davis), Dalton Nicholls, and Braden Nicholls; great-grandchildren: Kyndall and Kynleigh Gillen; nieces: Sandi Stephens and Jessica “Bernice” Stephens – Dolph (Rick); and nephew, Bruce Stephens (Janet).
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathleen Kissel and brother Jerry Stephens.
The family would like to thank Glenwood Assisted Living Center for all their love and support over the last months.
Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be 10 AM Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. John Burnette presiding. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials are suggested to Ss. James & Patrick Parish.
