Marilyn Sue Garrison's Obituary
Marilyn Sue Garrison, 77, of Clinton formerly of Lacon, passed away at 11:51 pm December 20, 2011 in St, Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Marilyn was born on August 12, 1934 in Booneville, IN the daughter of Russell and Annabelle Spencer Young. She had worked at the Library, the local paper and was the City Water Clerk all in Lacon. She was a member of Lacon United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary and in the church choir. She married Paul Garrison, Sr. on December 22, 1956 in Decatur.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Sr.; daughter, Sarah Owens Leon of Clinton; son, Paul Garrison Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL; granddaughters, Jennifer Owens of Clinton; Crystal Garrison of Kenney; and great-grandchildren, Addison and Alex.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Honoring Marilyn’s request she will be cremated at Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory in Decatur. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Feed the Children or the American Heart Association.
