Marilyn Lowe's Obituary
Marilyn Kay Lowe, 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in Decatur, IL.
She was born in Decatur on August 13, 1955, to the late William Carl Headlee and Eleanor Hulda Lappe Headlee. She married Richard Lowe on July 7, 1979, and they were happily married for nearly 30 years before his passing on June 25, 2009. She worked as a janitor for over 35 years. She loved having pets and collecting knickknacks.
Marilyn was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, Johnathan (Kaysha) Lowe and daughter, Misty Lowe; grandchildren, Cobi Blair, Thomas (Makenzie) Lowe, Logan Lowe, Hailey Nicole Lowe, and Liam Lowe; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Asher, Dante, Isaac, Olivia, Briella, and Nyla; as well as many extended family members.
Visitation for Marilyn Lowe will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, with funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Afterward, Marilyn will be laid to rest with her husband at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
