Marilyn K. Pierceall's Obituary
Decatur – Marilyn K. Pierceall, 90, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in Decatur, IL.
Marilyn was born on May 21, 1933, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Edward T. and Catherine E. (Hicks) Lang. A member of Holy Family Catholic Church and PEO Chapter GR, Marilyn worked in sales most of her adult life. She sang in many local choirs and portrayed Mrs. Millikin at Millikin Days for several years. She enjoyed music and playing the piano. Marilyn married N. H. “Bert” Pierceall on June 20, 1981, and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2008.
Surviving are her son, James Moore; grandchildren: Brendan Moore and Tara Smith; great grandson, Jonah Smith; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Lang; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karen S. Moore; son, Matthew Brendan Moore; and brothers: Edward and Richard Lang.
Funeral liturgy to celebrate Marilyn’s life will be 10 am, Friday, June 30, 2023, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour prior in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
