Marilynn C. McKinney's Obituary
Marilynn Charlene McKinney, 74, of Decatur passed away at 4:30 am Saturday, October 15, 2011 in her home in her husband’s arms.
Marilynn was born on August 24, 1937 in Decatur the daughter of Othniel and Edra Hawthorne Marsh. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association. She was a retired secretary from Millikin University. She loved to go camping, riding on the motorcycle and being a Grandma. She married Charles Duane Street on August 31, 1957 he preceded her in death on October 19, 1970. She then married John McKinney on November 13, 1985.
She is survived by her husband John; sons, Stephen Street of Decatur; David Street Starla of Decatur; Lyle Street Valarie of Macon; Gary Street Jennifer of Murphysboro; daughter, Linda Jordan Steve of Mabelvale, AR; step-sons, Carl McKinney Ellie of Naples, FL; Steve McKinney of Terre Haute, IN; brother Don Marsh Jo of Hattiesburg, MS; sister, Beverly Halsema of Mason City; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother, Robert, one step-son, Daniel McKinney, and one grandson, Jordan Street.
Funeral service celebrating Marilynn’s life will be 10 am Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Tabernacle Baptist Church, 650 N. Wyckles Road, Decatur. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
