Dr. Marion Lee Hill's Obituary
Dr. Marion Lee Hill, 70, of Forsyth, IL, passed away September 12, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Marion was born September 17, 1951 in Memphis, TN, the daughter of Wilburn and Cornelius (Newby) McGee.
She married George Clinton Hill on May 28, 1971 in Chicago, IL.
Marion earned a Bachelors and her Masters Degree, in Christian Education, and then in 2011 earned a Doctorate - Board Certified Biblical Counselor degree.
She was an Assistant Administrator for Macon County Health Department, where she had retired from.
Marion was a member of Ebeneezer Missionary Baptist Church. She loved working with children and founded “Troopers for Christ” and had also been a Life Coach. She enjoyed writing and had written a play and one book. She had her second manuscript in progress prior to her passing.
Surviving is her only Son, David L (Opal) Hill of Pearland, TX; 2 brothers, 7 sisters, Grandchildren, Corstian Xavier Hill, Khistler Lunden Hill, and 2 God Daughters, Melody Walker and Gwendolyn McAllister.
She was preceded in death by her Spouse, George Hill, both Parents, 1 Granddaughter, Arrijanna C. Hill, Twin Great Grandsons, Ian and Eli and God Son, Alvin E. Carter.
Celebration of Life and Homegoing Celebration on her Birthday, will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon – 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation services will follow.
