Mark will be missed by all who knew him. He had a quick wit, a warm smile, and a genuine affection for all. He cared. He could talk to anyone about anything, and he liked to read a lot–about anything. I was on vacation in Montana when Mark passed from this life into his next life. I was unable to attend the visitation and funeral. I apologize to his family for that. As to Mark's family, my prayers are with them for his loss. May God bless you all, always. I've had a very difficult time putting into words how I feel about Mark's death–and I apologize to Mark's family for taking so long to add my condolences here.I worked at the library with Mark for almost five years, but I thought of Mark as more than just a co-worker. There wasn't a conversation I ever had with Mark that I didn't enjoy, even when we didn't agree. Mark always knew what was really important, and he had a deep affection for others, which was one of the reasons he helped me and my girlfriend Tracey when we moved from downtown into our new home. Dear Family,I was very sad to hear of Marks passing. Although we have been out of touch for many years I do remember stopping by his house on Main St. to see him, years ago. I am deeply saddened by Mark's passing. Though I only knew him for a very short time, I will always remember his generousity in helping me and Bob Reed move from Prairie to West Center last year. Mark was there for us…as I am sure he was for many whom he knew.To show our "thanks" to Mark, we had him over for a BBQ-where we sat out on the back patio and talked all day-well into the evening–about everything under the sun. I remember him speaking so lovingly about his daughter and afterwards felt as though I knew her through him. You will be missed, Mark. On to that great BBQ in the sky, FRIEND. I will miss Mark very much. I have worked with him at DPL for ten years. Sometimes he was funny sometimes concerned sometimes he could carry on the best conversations with anyone, but always a fun person to be around. Mark I will miss you stealing my candy from my candy jar even though I made trips out to cracker barrel just to get the candy you loved.
