Martha "Teeney" Fisher's Obituary
Decatur – Martha “Teeney” Fisher, 74, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Teeney was born June 29, 1940 in Clinton, the daughter of Francis and Mary (Stone) Jordan. She most recently worked at Dale’s Southlake Pharmacy as Post Office Supervisor and was a teller at Busey Bank. Many also knew her through her many years as office manager for Dr. Neviackas and her many years as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Teeney married Johnny L. Fisher on February 10, 1962 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2004. Also preceding her in death were her sisters Mary Krutsinger and Patty Rebert, her brother Steve Jordan, and her nephew Ethan Krutsinger.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Chris Grove (Tom), Cathy Rayhill (Don), and Toni Fisher as well as her grandchildren Skyler Fisher, Casey Rayhill, Jacob Grove, A.J. Fisher, Jordan Rayhill, Ben Grove, Bridgett Rayhill, and Matthew Grove, and her brother Mike Jordan, 9 nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Lola.
Vigil prayer service will be at 4:30 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with a visitation to follow until 7 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the family and friends who supported Teeney during her final days. The family would also like to thank Drs. Singh and Atluri and the nursing staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital, especially RN’s: Becky, Tressa, Jessica, and Yvonne and all the dedicated CNA’s who cared for her.
