Mary E. Cooper's Obituary
Mary E. Cooper, 74, of Decatur passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born on December 1, 1942 in Springfield, IL the daughter of Otis and Florida (Walker) Jones. She was a member of the Decatur Lebanon Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a retired CNA working for St. John’s Hospital and Decatur Memorial Hospital. She married James Cooper. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1976.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her daughters, Megan Cooper of St. Louis, MO; Dana Cooper of Springfield, IL; brothers, William Jones (Mary Kay) of West Hollywood, CA; John C. Jones of Springfield, IL; sister, Joyce Williams (Leroy) of Springfield, IL; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers, Otis, Samuel, and Robert.
Homegoing service to celebrate Mary’s Life will be 11 AM Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
