Mary "Winnie" Ehrmantraut's Obituary
Mary “Winnie” Winifred Ehrmantraut, 95, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
Winnie was born August 6, 1919 in Bloomington, IL to Noah Allen and Mary Agnes (Foley) Arnold. She married George “Walter” Ehrmantraut on June 1, 1941 in Bloomington, IL. He passed away April 29, 1986. She worked for the Macon County Circuit Clerk and Sheriff’s office from 1963-1980. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Decatur, Elk Ladies BPOE # 401, American Legion Post #105 and VFW Auxiliary #99.
She is survived by her two daughters, Julia Grider of Decatur and Janet Ehrmantraut of Paradise, CA; her daughter-in-law, Debra Ehrmantraut of Latham; her four grandchildren, Laurie (Michael) Rhode, Brian (Mary) Grider, Kimberly (Anthony) Livingood and Kelly Ehrmantraut; her ten great-grandchildren, Danielle, Ian, Aaron, William, Jacob, Tyler, Samantha, Chase, Madison and Lane; her four great-great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Kain, Alexis and Rileigh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Ehrmantraut; her son, Thomas Jay Ehrmantraut; her brother, George Arnold; her two sisters, Bette Fox and Doris Arnold and her son-in-law, Leonard Grider.
Services to celebrate the life of Winnie Ehrmantraut will be 12 noon Friday, June 5, 2015 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, IL. Memorials may be directed to American Legion Post # 105 Scholarship Fund or VFW #99.
