Mary Rose Hebenstreit's Obituary
Mary “Rose” Hebenstreit, 101, of Decatur entered into eternal rest on Saturday November 27, 2010, in Decatur.
Rose was born January 11, 1909, in Christian County, the Daughter of Henry and Mary Ragle Hebenstreit. Mary worked at Schudel Brothers Laundry and Cleaning and Waite’s Dry Cleaners for nearly 60 years. Rose was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Surviving are grandsons, Richard A. Nolte Marsha and David A. Nolte special friend, Claudia, both of Decatur; granddaughter, Jane A. Arn Tim of Decatur; great grandchildren, Tony Hamilton, Christopher and Nicholas Nolte, and Bobby Arn, two great-great-grandchildren of Decatur; nieces, Janet WaiteBill of Decatur and Margaret Rose Griffin of Missouri; first cousin, Irene Hebenstreit, special friends, Frank & Judy Garthouse; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, brother, Al Hebenstreit, sisters, Theresa Heisman, Loretta Long, Ruth Hebenstreit, Marjorie Stone, daughter, Mary Nolte, son-in-law, Lawrence Nolte and grandson, John Hamilton.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for Rose during her illnesses.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Grant officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church.
