Mrs. Mary Lorraine Keele's Obituary
Keele, Mary Lorraine (Lyon) 97 of Decatur, IL, Passed away August 3rd, 2025, peacefully at home. Her beloved cat, Bella, was by her side.
Mary was born August 5, 1927, in Decatur, IL to Raymond Lyon and Goldia Lyon (Schultz). Mary graduated from Decatur High School in 1946. She married George Keele in 1989. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mary retired from the Decatur Clinic after 35 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mary has elected cremation. Her and George will be buried at Boiling Springs Cemetery. No services are planned.
Mary’s brother, Bob Lyon, preceded her in death. Mary was a passionate animal lover. She would ask that in Lieu of flowers, donation could be made to The Scovil Zoo, Humane Society, or The Animal Shelter.
