Mary Lou King's Obituary
Mary Lou King, 74, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her residence.
Mary Lou was born on October 5, 1946, in San Diego, California, the daughter of John and Lula Mae (Abel) Freeman. She married Eugene King on December 30, 1967 in Decatur, Illinois. She worked as an assistant and organizer, giving many years of service to the United Way. In her free time, she enjoyed scrapbooking and stamping.
Mary Lou is survived by her children Phillip (Stephanie) King of San Antonio, Texas and Jason (Angela) King of Decatur; siblings John H. (Jessie Mae Frazier) Freeman II, Shirley Maurine Cook, and Mildred (Bill) Wilson; grandchildren Kitton Gaynor, Amber Eubanks, Carlissa King, and Jalen King; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother David Freeman.
Visitation for Mary Lou will be from 9am to 10am on Friday, July 16 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation. Condolences may be left for the family at www.moranandgoebel.com .
