Mary E. Nolte, 75, of Decatur, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in Decatur.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 01, 2004 in St. James Catholic Church, Fr. Donald Wolford celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, vigil prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Memorials to St. John's Hospital School of Nursing or donor's choice. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Mary was born on November 3, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Mary R. Hebenstreit. Mary worked as a surgical nurse for many years until making a career change to become a stay at home mother. Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She married Lawrence A. Nolte on May 3, 1952 in Decatur and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2002.
Surviving is her mother; sons: Richard A. Nolte, wife Marsha and David A Nolte, wife Annette all of Decatur; daughter, Jane A. Arn, husband Tim of Decatur; grandchildren: Tony Hamilton, Christopher and Nicholas Nolte and Bobby Arn; great grandson, Nicholas Hamilton all of Decatur; special cousin, Janet Waite, husband Bill of Decatur; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and grandson, John Hamilton.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to all of her Doctor's and the wonderful Nurses and Hospice staff at St. Mary's, who were Angels and cared for Mary with dignity, professionalism, and love during her illness and final hours.
