Mary Suzanne "Sue" Senger's Obituary
Mary Suzanne “Sue” Senger, 93, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in Imboden Creek Living Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was born December 30, 1926, in Danville, IL to William Joseph and Golda Marie (Doty) Brady, Sr. She married Herbert L. Senger on September 19, 1953 in Decatur, IL. He passed away September 5, 1974. Sue was a member of St. Thomas Church of the Apostles. She was also very proud of her Irish heritage and loved the Chicago Cubs. The family would like to request people to wear green or Cubs attire for her services. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her eight children, Nancy (Randolph) Helms, Gary (Sally) Senger, Beth Knotts, Quinn Senger, Christopher (Laura) Senger, David (Peggy) Senger, Peggy (Jimmy) Devereux and Jeffrey Senger; her fifteen grandchildren, Brandon (Urszela) Helms, Kacy (Zach) Altman, Marian Knotts, Grady Knotts, Zachary (Tiffany) Senger, Evan Senger, Jessica (Aaron) Randolph, Alexander Senger, Katie Brosamer-Senger, Allison Senger, Nicholas Senger, Megan (Nicholas) Dinkins, Jillian Devereux (David) Peters, Brianne (Travis) Wuebbels and Brent (Meghan) Morey; her five great-grandchildren, Cora and Vivienne Randolph, Bee and Weezie Peters, and Luna Dinkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Michael Senger; her three brothers, Patrick Brady, John Brady and William J. Brady, Jr.; her sister, Peggy Harting; and her special friend, Bob Delaney.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. McCormack and Linda Klem; all who cared for her at Imboden Creek Living Center; and to Cindy Stettner, who is now an adopted member of the family, for years of her compassionate and loving care for Sue.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2020, at St. Thomas Church of the Apostle. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday before the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Decatur. Memorials may be directed to St. Teresa High School 2710 North Water Street, Decatur 62526.
