Mary Beatrice Shipp's Obituary
Mary Beatrice "Bea" Shipp 81 of Decatur died at 3:30 pm Friday July 21, 2006 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services celebrating Bea's life will be 11:00 am Friday July 28, 2006 in New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the church. Interment will be Monday July 31, 2006 in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Mrs. Shipp was born in Brownsville, TN on April 24, 1925 the daughter of Robert Sr. and Josephine Sutton Currie. She married William Shipp in Brownsville, TN on May 17, 1941. Mrs. Shipp worked as a housekeeper. She was a faithful member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and served on several committees.
She leaves to mourn her death; brothers: Henry Chaney Wilson, T.O. Willie Mae Wilson; sisters: Savannah Dozier and Thelma Wilson all of Decatur; sisters-in-law: Christine Currie, Mae Catherine Currie both of Decatur, and Ann Currie of Denver, CO; Several nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends; special nieces: Diana Floyd Wheeler, Patricia Currie, Carolyn Currie and Farrah Damien Plato and special nephews: Jeffery KarenCurrie and Jerome Currie all of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-father, Henry Wilson, brothers: Joseph, Robert, Alonzo, and Clyde, sisters: Lurleen and Annie Mae.
Bea will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
