Mattie Mae Robertson's Obituary
Decatur – Mattie Mae “Sis” Robertson, 92, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in Symphony of Decatur.
Mattie, affectionately known as Big Sis, was born May 6, 1921, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of Robert Anderson and Leveda Hampton. A long time member and mother of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Mattie married D.C. Robertson on Sept. 11, 1949 and then moved to Decatur in 1950.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her brother, Frazier “Joe” (Gretchen) Bonds; stepdaughter, Mary Louise Flinn; second son, James (Anita) Billingsley all of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, two brothers, and one daughter.
Homegoing service to celebrate her life will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
