Max Albert Napierski's Obituary
Max Albert Napierski, 88, passed away on November 2, 2023, in Forsyth, IL in Hickory Point Christian Village at 7:33 AM.
Max was born to John A. and Harriett L. Napierski, on January 23, 1935, in Decatur, IL. He grew up in Mt. Zion and graduated from Mt. Zion High School. He joined the Airforce right out of high school where he spent time in Washington state and 2 years in Japan as a radar technician. After he got out of the Air Force, he went to work at A.E. Staley's where he completed his apprenticeship. He retired after many years of service at Staley’s.
Max loved golf and basketball. He played basketball until his late 40s and was a lifetime golfer. He was an avid collector of antiques and loved his trips to the thrift shops and antique stores. The most important thing in his life was family. He took great care of his mother and was very close with his brothers. He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own.
Max is survived by his brothers, John (Diane) D Napierski, Kent (Terri) Napierski, and many nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank Christian Village for their love and care of Max.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Macon County Memorial Park at 1:00 PM
