Maxine Cecil's Obituary
Maxine Cecil, 90, of Decatur passed away at 4:20 am on Monday, February 28, 2011 in Aspen Ridge Care Center.
Maxine was born on January 10, 1921 in Charleston, IL the daughter of William and Lillian Wilson Walker. She worked as a house keeper for Millikin Court Bank and was a member of Bethel Tabernacle Apostolic Church.
Surviving are daughter, Carolyn Tournear John of Decatur; sons, Charles “Chuck” Cecil Becky, David Cecil Joyce, and Paul Cecil Nancy all of Decatur; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Cecil, three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, March 4, 2011 in New Life Tabernacle of Macon, 285 N. Towson, Macon, IL 62544 with Rev. Carolyn Tournear and Rev. Eric Ginder officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
