Maxine Lavon Evans' Obituary
Maxine Lavon Evans 81 of Decatur formerly of Argenta and Cerro Gordo died at 1:15 pm Sunday February 1, 2004 in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 am on Wednesday February 4, 2004 in First Church of the Nazarene. Please, no cut flowers. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be made to the family at www.moranandgoebel.com.
Maxine was born on November 22, 1922 in Macon County the daughter of Ralph "Dutch" and Naomi Foster White. She married Bernard Evans on February 7, 1943,
Surviving are her husband; sons Fred Evans and wife Kay of Argenta; Gary Evans and wife Jill of Nelsonville, WI; Michael Evans and wife Sharon of Decatur; Mark Evans and wife Crystal of Cerro Gordo; daughter-in-law, Arlene Evans of Soddy Daisy, TN; and Vicky Evans of Oreana; sisters, Pauline Parker and husband Robert of Decatur; Betty Kaufman of Argenta; brother, Donald White and wife Mary of Sacramento, CA; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, two sons, Terry and Ronald Evans.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family and those that knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Lincoln Manor for their great care and concern for Maxine during her stay there.
