Lit a candle in memory of McKinley Hayes
Junior was one of my older brother's friends. I remember him as a kind person who would stick up for me as I tried to play "horse" basketball with him and my brother. He spent many days at our house and even camped out in the driveway. I never knew him as an adult but understand he would spend time in our driveway or near the house on 22nd Street. I hope he felt comfort in being close to his childhood memories. The Hayes' children were a part of my and my brothers' childhoods. We had each of the four oldest in our classes in grade school. They were all thought of highly.
