Merylene Dimple Satterlee's Obituary
Merylene Dimple Satterlee, 91, of Normal, formerly of Decatur, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at the McLean County Nursing Home.
Merylene was born June 20, 1925 in Flippin, Kentucky to Thomas and Norma (Davis) McCoy. She married Fred Satterlee on October 13, 1943 in Decatur, IL. He passed away April 1, 1993. Merylene was a very happy, kind and caring individual who knew how to make everyone feel welcome. She enjoyed cooking but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Larry) Underkoffler of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, Michele Frye and Jenna Varga; nieces and nephews, Teresa (David) Hunt of Hudson, Chuck (Elayne) McCoy of Arcadia, FL, Shirley Gentzyel of Decatur, Mike (Dawn) McCoy of Decatur; and a large number of nieces and nephews residing around the country including many in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; four brothers and six sisters.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at McLean County Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorials may be directed to Heyworth Christian Church.
