Michael Gene Bond's Obituary
Michael Gene Bond, 69, of Decatur, IL passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Decatur Rehabilitation Health Care Center.
Michael was the son of William Bond and Cora (Walker) Bond. He married Janice Love then later divorced. They still remained good friends. Michael enjoyed working as a chef at the South Side Country Club in Decatur, IL. Where he retired after 20 yrs of service. He served in the United States Army. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, fishing by the Decatur Lake in his spare time and smelling good.
Michael leaves behind his three sons; Courtney Love (Aleshia) of Bloomington, IL, Tionne Love (Angelica) of Decatur, IL, William Bond of Decatur, IL. His two daughters; Aqueelah Webb (Jerry) of Cedar Hills, TX, Qunita Hardy (Kevin) of Decatur, IL. His two brothers James Estes (Bernice) of Brownsville, TN, and Johnny Bond (Shirley) of Decatur, IL. His sisters Vergie Green (Fred) of Decatur, IL, Maxine Wiley (Willie) of Joliet, IL Georgetta Bond (Wayne Reed) of Decatur, IL, Annetta Murrell of Decatur, IL, and Eva Savage (Clarence) of Decatur, IL. He leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren all of whom he loved.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents William Bond and Cora Walker, one son Ali Muhammed, and two bothers Carl Bond, Willis Ester Jr. and lifelong friend Lynn Perkins.

Services will be held May 4, 2019 at Church of the Living God CWFF at 12 PM with a two-hour visitation held prior to service. Graveside Service will be held Monday May 6, 2019 at 11 at Camp Butler with military honors.
