Michael Thomas Kupish's Obituary
Michael Thomas Kupish, 34 of Mesa, AZ formerly of Decatur, passed away February 23, 2011 in Arizona.
Michael was born on January 27, 1977 in Decatur, the son of Chris and Anne Ewing Kupish. Michael was a graduate of St. Thomas grade school in Decatur. He was a graduate with the ‘Class of 1995″ at MacArthur High School in Decatur. Mike was currently attending college, working towards a nursing degree. He was a mountain bike enthusiast; he enjoyed hiking and his dogs. Mike and his new bride Lydia “Suzy” Goe surprised family and friends when he proposed and they married in a surprise wedding on March 12, 2005 in Greensburg, IN. Mike continued the gift of life by donating his organs.
Left to cherish Michael’s memories are his wife Suzy Kupish of Mesa, AZ; his mother Anne Rudolph Lettrich of Decatur; his father Chris Diana Kupish of Blue Mound, IL; his sister Dawn Jonathan McCoy of Urbana, IL; his brother Joshua Kupish of Decatur, IL; his grandma Beverly Anne Ewing of Decatur, IL; his mother and father in-law Dorothy and David Goe of Beaver Creek, OH; loving nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles including Tom Janet Ewing of Riverside, CA; Charles Chris Ewing of Atwood, IL; Samuel Ewing of Decatur, IL; Patrick Ewing of Decatur, IL; Marie Jim Luedke of Sullivan, IL; Joe Susan Kupish of Lake Oswego, OR; Jim Kupish of Decatur, IL; Rita Standerfer of Gilbert, AZ; John Kupish of Decatur, IL; David Debbie Kupish of Olathe, KS; Dorothy Larry Stark of Greensburg, IN; and Lucy Del Sarto of Olathe, KS.
Michael was reunited in Heaven with his grandpa Charles Edward Ewing, his grandpa William Edward Kupish and his grandma Dorothy Marie Kupish.
Funeral services to celebrate Michael’s life will be 11:00 am Friday, March 4, 2011 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Wray Offerman officiating. The service will conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Visitation will be from 6 – 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to the wishes of the family.
