Michael "Mike" E McKey's Obituary
Michael “Mike” Edward McKey, 73, of Decatur, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020, in his home, surrounded by his family.
Mike was born March 20, 1947, in Decatur, IL to Edward Smith and Edna Mae (Schnieder) McKey. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Kathy Ann Grubaugh on May 15, 1986, in Decatur, IL. He was a member of Local 65 (Now 137). Mike was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathy; his son, Jeremy (Tara Fish) Grubaugh; three grandchildren; his brother, Thomas McKey; his two sisters, Sandra (Gene) Nicholson and Cindy (David) Kates; and his cat, Buster.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mike McKey will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2020, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery at 12 p.m.
