Michael W. "Mike" Venturelli's Obituary
Michael W. “Mike” Venturelli, 51, of Decatur, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 21, 2010 in his home after suffering from a heart condition for several years.
Mike was born September 9, 1958, in Peoria, the son of Donald M. and Mary K. Suits Venturelli. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and graduate of MacArthur High School, Mike always had a smile on his face and loved spending time with his parents. He never met a stranger and he was always eager to visit with family and friends. He particularly enjoyed family reunions. Mike loved all types of sports but especially loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Jeffrey wife, Jean Venturelli, along with their children, Marissa and Daniel of Clearwater, FL; many loving aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents: George W. and Anna V. McCullers Suits and Marco and Stella Krzton Venturelli.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 pm Thursday, August 26, 2010, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Rev Richard Weltin celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass in the church. Burial will take place at 3:30 pm Thursday, August 26, 2010 in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Hillsboro. Memorial gifts may be made to: Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
