Michael Richardson's Obituary
Michael James Richardson, 67, of Decatur passed away on Sunday August 18, 2013 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Michael was born on March 3, 1946 in Decatur the son of Donald W. and Rose (Maronto) Richardson. He retired from Caterpillar as a welder. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He married Linda Evans on April 10, 1965 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; sons, Michael W. Richardson of Decatur; Scott A. Richardson (Toni) of Forsyth; David R. Richardson (Emily Shawver) of Decatur; sisters, Barbara J. Rambo of Decatur; Shirley J. Robinson (Kenneth) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, Alex, Lucas, Triston, and Lainey; pets, Sugar, Lily, Sammy, Blade, and Kaylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Edward Lee Richardson, brother, Donald J. Richardson, and infant sister, Mary Josephine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Saturday, August, 24, 2013 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Memorials are suggested to Homeward Bound Animal Shelter.
