Michael Charles Weaver's Obituary
Michael Charles "Mike" Weaver, 57, of Springfield, formerly of Decatur, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 2, 2003.
Services celebrating his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2003 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Wray Offerman officiating; visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorials to: American Cancer Society.
Mike was born on January 15, 1946 in Decatur, the son of Charles Franklin and Marjorie Jean Wilson Weaver. He was employed as a salesman for Leisure Host since 1996. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School, a 1964 Graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and attended Eastern Illinois University. Mike was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He loved to read, listen to music and follow all sports, especially the Chicago Cubs. Mike married Barbara Bielefeld on September 14, 1968 in Decatur.
Mike leaves to cherish fond memories: his mother, Marjorie of Decatur; wife, Barbara of Chicago; son, James Weaver of Riverton; daughter, Kristine Weaver of Chicago; sister, Marcy Niels Mosley of Oreana; niece, Leigh Brian Woodhall and children Peyton and Caydon of Stonington; uncles: Bill Janice Wilson and Earl Wilson all of Decatur; great aunt, Maxine Hill of Decatur; several cousins and friends.
His father; aunt, Doris Wilson and grandparents preceded him in death.
