Michelle Renee Williams-Woodland's Obituary
Michelle Renee Williams-Woodland was called to eternal rest on January 3, 2025, at the tender age of 53. She was born on March 26, 1971, to Michael Earl Williams and Gladys Tean (Green) Williams in Decatur, IL.
Michelle accepted Christ in her life at an early age and her faith never wavered. She was a member of Living Word Church which she faithfully attended with her family each Sunday.
Michelle was employed at Caterpillar for the last 19 yrs. She was a devoted worker and took a great deal of pride in work. She also enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Michelle cherished her children, grandchildren and her family. She was extremely proud of her children's accomplishments. Every Wednesday was set aside to spend time with her grandchildren Braylin, Averi and Miani. She loved on her family every chance she could. Her smile and her laugh were contagious.
She greeted everyone with her vibrant smile and a warm embrace. Her kindness was unwavering and irreplaceable and will be greatly missed.
As we reflect on the life Michelle, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on those around her. Her huge spirit and giving heart will be missed. She left a void in our hearts that can never be replaced but we will forever cherish the loving memories we shared with her.
She leaves behind a boundless amount of love, laughter and memories to her mother Gladys T. Williams, her children Brianna Woodland, James Woodland III & Braxton Woodland, her sisters Cherllynn Williams (Springfield, IL), Joycelyn Williams (Decatur, IL), Christy Williams (Decatur, IL), Kiana Thoms (Crowley, TX), grandchildren Braylin Miller, Averi Clark, Miani Woodland, Braxton Woodland Jr., her loving in-laws James & Norma Woodland (Decatur, IL), James Woodland II (her 1st and forever love) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Michelle was preceded in death her father Michael Earl Williams, Samarah Lawson (niece) and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Homegoing service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday (01-11-2025) at Greater Northside Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until service time. A graveside service will follow at Macon County Memorial Park.
