Mildred A. Petty's Obituary
Mildred A. Petty, 84, of Decatur, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
She was born March 1, 1927 in Diana, WV, the daughter of William Burton and Roda Carpenter Clutter. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aid in pediatrics for many years. Mildred married Charles F. “Fred” Petty on December 22, 1972 in Chicago.
Surviving is her husband, Fred of Decatur; children: Ronald Burton Heidi Mace of Glenview, Mona Thomas Busch of Decatur and Andrew Lee Lianne Mace of Batavia; grandchildren: Katie and Margaret Busch and Alex and Daniel Mace; siblings: Kenneth Ruth Clutter of MD; Clarence Martha Clutter, John June Clutter, Grace Ann Barger, James Linda Clutter, David Clutter, Suzie David Young and Bruce Clutter of WV; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Elmer Lee Mace; and one brother, Wayne.
Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Moundford Free Methodist Church. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to Pat Robertson’s 700 Club.
