Minnie Duckworth's Obituary
Minnie Duckworth 82 of Decatur went home to be with her Lord on Saturday May 20, 2006 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Home going services celebrating her life will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 27, 2006 in New Salem Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Minnie's family has entrusted her care to Moran & Goebel Funeral Home.
Minnie was born Coahoma County, Mississippi on December 23, 1923 the daughter of Charlie and Pearlie Bryant Perkins Sr. She professed hope in Christ at an early age. She is a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She married Rankin "Nate" Duckworth in July of 1968 at Decatur, IL.
Surviving are her husband, sons, Alfred Taylor Geneva of San Antonio TX; daughter Claudine Wilson Vernell Leland, MS; sisters, Ida Ford and Savannah Curry both of Decatur; brothers-in-law, John Duckworth Kizzie of Brownsville, TN; Hosie Duckworth Betty of Decatur; sister-in-law, Lillie Taylor of Cincinnati, OH; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one sister.
