Minyonne Kay Rhoades' Obituary
Be still and know that I am God, a scripture Minyonne reminded friends of often and lived by always. Hers is a legacy of faith, greatly changing the lives of many with her unmistakable exuberant laughter and excitement for their wellbeing. No matter if she got it from a preacher, read it in a book, or heard it directly from God she was passionate to share all she had learned in hope it would help through the tough times.
An animal lover of all creatures (except snakes and spiders), her cats brought her almost as much delight as her grandchildren. Minyonne loved attending sports events and activities and holidays/vacations with family, and served in a number of capacities faithfully volunteering in church ministries.
Minyonne Kay Rhoades joined the Lord Jesus in Heaven on Wednesday, June 5 2024. She was born on September 27, 1946 in Decatur, Illinois to Ralph & Alice McKinney. Minyonne married her surviving husband John Rhoades on October 2, 1965 in Decatur, Illinois where they have lived happily together for 58 years.

She is also survived by her sons Shane (Amanda) Rhoades of Creal Springs with their children Katelyn and Maximus, and Jason (Meg) Rhoades of Oreana with their children Peyton, Kadi and Caree.
