Monty Craig Snyder age 45 passed away on February 08, Sunday 2004 at 1:57 am in the Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services Celebrating his life will be 1 pm Thursday February 12, 2004 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home where visitation will be one hour before services, Rev. Sara Isbell officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Decatur. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family for his children. Monty was born in Decatur, IL on October 21, 1958 the son of John and Doris L. Nichols Snyder. He was a graduate of Culver Military Academy, while here he was a member of the Black Horse Troop, riding in President Nixon's Inaugural parade and then later a graduate of Millikin University. He attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Decatur. He was Owned and Operated Snyder Construction in the Decatur area. He married Elaine Fortner in Decatur, IL, on June 23, 1987, she survives.
Also surviving includes his mother, Doris Snyder of Decatur, IL, son; Jeremiah Snyder at home, daughter; Danielle Snyder also at home, step daughter, Angela Swanson. Three grandchildren.
Monty was preceded by his father John Snyder, step-father Richard Dieckow.
