Nancy Carol Carlson's Obituary
Nancy Carol Carlson, 79, of Decatur, passed away June 20, 2023, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Nancy was born in Decatur on November 19, 1943, the daughter of Elmer and Waynoka (Cutler) Hott. She worked as a Deputy Clerk in the Macon County Circuit Clerk’s office for many years. She loved music and dancing. She and her brother Larry were regulars on the Marty Robbins Dance Party Show, and there was nothing she enjoyed more. She had a contagious laughter that brought joy to all those around here. She loved her family. They were of the utmost importance to her.
Nancy is survived by her daughters Christy Lynch Walcher and Jodi Sennhenn, both of Decatur; stepsons John Carlson and Rick Carlson; siblings Marilyn (Gene) Weaver and Bev (Tom) McGeorge, Larry (Carolyn) Hott, Donnie (Kathy) Hott, and Lavonne (Don) Lang; grandchildren Brandon (Alisha) Walcher, Lacie (Jairon) Walk, Meghan (Doug) Koehler, and Devin Sennhenn; and great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Ella, Maelee, Braylen, and Paisley. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sonny Hott, and sisters Eleanor Parril and Cynthia Gramley.
Visitation for Nancy will be from 10am to 11am on Monday, July 3, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11am, also in the funeral home. Burial at North Fork Cemetery will follow the services.
