Max & Cliff Boogie,SO sorry to hear about Nancy! Unfortunately, mom just told us, so we missed the services. We miss you guys. If you are ever in the area, please stop by and see all of us. Love, Jean Hammond, IL US
Dear Max and Cliff,I just canÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?â??ââ??¬Ã?â??ââ??¢t tell you how sorry I was to hear about Nancy Leigh. She will always have a special place in my heart. As I was the youngest of my generation I always looked up to her and all of my cousins. But Nanny was by far the coolest one of the bunch! She looked so cute driving around in that blue and white Pontiac Firebird or Uncle WillieÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?â??ââ??¬Ã?â??ââ??¢s Buick Riviera. On of my special memories is when she would take Mary and me to the Dairy Queen Drive-in near Nobel Park. I will never forget when she first introduced us to you Max. She said you were THE one. I guess it was true since you had 37 wonderful years together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Dede McKinney, Jay, Matthew, and Leah Jennings Cabin John, MD US
Cliff,I am so sorry to hear about your mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.Love,Nikki Louisville, KY US
Max, Cliff, Sookie and everyone,Thoughts of time spent with Nancy Leigh and the family have been flooding my memory this week. It alternates between tears of laughter at the times we had running back and forth across Mechanic Street to Maw MitchellÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?â??ââ??¬Ã?â??ââ??¢s; having a beautiful and sophisticated older cousin that had such a generous gentle spirit that she always included the gangly younger girls in whatever she was doing; the weekend trip to Canada where we managed to make it ALL the way to Beaver Dam before we had to stop for a snack; fishing crazy people out of the lake; the Christmas Trivial Pursuit tournament; and all the wacky adventures with Catherine, Willard, and John Owen and tears of loss realizing that we will never be able to share those memories together. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and I will hold her memory in my heart forever. I am so sorry for your loss and wish that I could be with you today to celebrate her beautiful life.Love always,Mary Margaret Seattle, WA US
Max and Cliff,How can I even begin…what an incredible life Nannie led and what an adventure she shared with all of us. A love for her family so vivid and evident to ANYONE within miles. We have such an incredible family and are so blessed to know that we will all be together again…the whole Edgewood gang – living it up. Love you both so much!!!Jill and family Lerna, IL US
Nanny still lives in my heart as I try and protect it from the reality that unfulfilled promises will remain forever. We can only take comfort from the knowledge that she's at home with Momma, Daddy, and Pete. May the Lord bless her heart and soul as she blessed those who knew her. Love you gal. Bakersfield, CA US
Max, Cliff, Jenny & family.Where do I begin except to say how sorry I am for your and everyone's loss. Nancy touched everyone she came in contact with in a positive way. The memories I have of our time on Cobb Street always brings a smile to my face. Nancy could always get a laugh out of anyone, no matter their mood. She permeated with happiness and always had a good thing to say about anyone. I will miss her dearly as I know you all will, but we are all better people having the honor to know and love her.Be strong. That's the way she would want everyone to be. Decatur, IL US
Max and Cliff,Mom told me the news last night. So sorry to hear. I still remeber the good times we had at your house in Shelbyville and how nice and acommodating Max and Nancy were. We're thinking about you guys. Albertville, MN US
Dearest Max and Cliff,There are no words to convey the sorrow we have for the both of you and for us. Nance was a presence in our lives that was kindness, lovingness and a super humor. All the times we had together were wonderful, happy and full of love. We regret that we kept saying over and over, "we must not let time go so long before we meet again". But we did and now we can't see Nance again. You are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers and always will be. Please stay close, we are family. Love with all our hearts, Bud and Terry Salem, IL US
