We lived on a farm south of Ohlman, and I remember one day when Mom took us three kids for a walk to the pond. As we approached, a Blue Racer snake decided it wouldn't let us pass and started to chase us. I don't remember all the details, but I know that Mom, with her incredible strength and bravery, scooped us up and raced back to the house, ensuring our safety.
