Nancy Karen Walsh's Obituary
Nancy Karen Walsh, 67, of Moweaqua passed away at 12:50 am Friday, February 11, 2011 in Moweaqua Nursing and Retirement Home.
Nancy was born on January 20, 1944 in Decatur the daughter of Lon and Marie Williams Ernest. She married Max Moore on June 26, 1963. She later married Michael “Bruce” Walsh on April 3, 1971 in Decatur and moved to Moweaqua in 1996. She worked at Kroger’s, Rudow’s Market, Peter’s Market, Tolly’s, Western-Southern Life Insurance Company and Billingsley’s Amoco. Her favorite hobby was Cross stitching and Ceramics. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Surviving are her husband, Michael “Bruce” Walsh; daughter, Cathy Rarick Jim of Moweaqua; son, Richard Moore of Savoy; sisters, Georgia Jacobs Dwight and Carol Kreke Mark of Decatur; grandchildren, Clint and Christopher Moore of Decatur; Brandon and Brittany Rarick of Moweaqua; Harley Moore of Mattoon; great-grandson, Christian Moore; special cousins Barbara Jean Current and Millie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Briane Rarick.
Funeral service celebrating the life of Nancy will be 12:30 pm Monday, February 14, 2011in First Christian Church of Moweaqua. Visitation will be 2:00 ' 4:00 pm Sunday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church of Moweaqua Student Building.
