Dear Family of Mrs. Williams,
Our children learned so much from your mother/grandmother! Her love for teaching children showed through her contagious smile, wit and patience. My husband worked with son, David at Geifman Grocery Store in the 1970’s and when our children were assigned to have Nanette as their teacher @ Coyne Center we knew she’d me a jewel of a teacher. And oh the memories of the leaf collection project – it was great for the whole family to learn about the trees in the neighborhood. Blessings to you and cherish your memories.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Nan at Coyne Center Grade School. She had a contagious smile and a great wit. I will always remember her old gray sweater! She adored her students and education. My deepest sympathies to her loving family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Williams passing. She was my very favorite teacher at Coyne Center grade school. She came that year to sub 4th grade for Mrs. McMeekan’s maternity leave. My favorite memory of her was that after my dog had puppies, she let the entire class walk to my house to see the puppies. She was a loving and caring lady. I had run into her many times over the years, and she told me to call her Nan, but I just couldn’t. She will always be Mrs. Williams, my favorite teacher. I became a pre-school teacher and teach pre-kindergartners. I strive to be like her, loving and caring always. thanks Mrs. Williams for many wonderful memories. My prayers go out to her family.

Sending my deepest condolences to Nan’s family. I remember her speaking so highly of her children as I had her for a teacher for three years at Coyne Center Grade school. Every year I moved up she moved up, she always teased me that she was going to follow me all the way to graduation. I have so many fond memories of her but the one that sticks out is making rosettes with her. I still have the rosette iron that she gave me. I will make some rosettes in her honor. Mrs. Williams you made a impact on me and many other children and I would like to say that I am a better person because of you, and the many life lessons you taught me.

I taught with Nan at Coyne Center starting in 1982 when I moved to Sherrard. Nan was fun to work with and really liked her students. She kept all the students’ pictures that they gave to her on bulletin boards. Former students loved to come and look at the pictures! She was very helpful to me as a new teacher. She was a blessing to many in her teaching career.

Mrs. Williams was my 4th and 5th grade homeroom teacher 35 yrs ago. She drove my passion for science and math. I have thought about her many times throughout the years. One of the best teachers and developed many kids through the many years of teaching. Rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Williams passing. I was a student of hers 44 years ago. My family was just talking about her last week. One of the projects we did in 5th grade was a leaf collection. All 3 of us still have our collection. My mom even recalled going out and collecting the leaves. This year, I decided to work on making a new collection. Thanks Mrs. Williams for giving me the love for nature. You will be missed. God bless your family.
