Noah H. Cornell's Obituary
Noah H. Cornell, 85, of Decatur died on Tuesday March 04, 2003.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday March 07, 2003 in J. J. Moran Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Woodworth officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 P.M. Thursday, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
Noah was born in Rural Route Oakley on September 11, 1917 the son of Herbert Otis and Rosa Alice Crall Cornell. He was employed as an Electrician at A.D.M. for 42 years retiring in January of 1982. As a child Noah attended the Church of the Brethren in Cerro Gordo. A WWII Navy veteran, noah was a member of the Grain Millers Local #103. Noah married Violet H. Million on June 14, 1938 in Monticello, and she preceded him in death on August 18, 2000.
Surviving are his son, Jim Cornell Judy of Decatur; brother, Edward L. Cornell of Phoenix, AZ.; grandchildren, Steve Cornell Vicki of Decatur, David Cornell Jackie of Decatur, Cathy Funk Rob of Indianapolis, IN., great grandchildren, Becky, Jeremy, Chelsie, Kayla, Haylee, and Ryan; great great grandchildren, Chasity, Destiny and Jersey; step grandson, Steve Brown; step great grandchildren, Jeremy and Megan; step great great grandchildren, Brent and Ashley; special friends, Mike and Kathy Burkham of Decatur.
His parents, wife, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
